Aldeburgh, Suffolk

Aldeburgh beach on the East coast of Suffolk. Some of the fishing boats here nowadays are badly weathered and no longer in use. I have concentrated on capturing the texture of the wood and flaking paintwork on these boats in the foreground which are packed full of lobster pots, ropes, floats and all the other paraphernalia that the fishermen use. In the background beyond the shingle beach is the distinctive Aldeburgh sky-line and the Martello Tower can just be seen in the distance.

This watercolour will be supplied bevel mounted and framed in a flat natural ash, ready to hang.
