Forever Autumn

For this highly detailed artwork I have used a combination of graphite pencil, coloured pencils and graphitint pencils on Bristol board.

Looking at old photographs from the turn of the last century by Edward Curtis I was trying to imagine how these people must have felt at that time. Having been through so much in their recent living memory and with their entire race and way of life almost wiped out yet still looking proud and clinging on to old traditions and preserving their culture. In the Autumn of their very existence they must have wondered how much time they had left. That's what I have tried to portray in this portrait.

This original piece will be supplied bevel mounted ready for framing.
