This portrait was based on an absorbing photograph of Two Whistles, a Crow Man made, in 1908 by Edward S. Curtis. This Crow (Apsaroke) man, his face covered with War Paint, is wearing a medicine hawk headdress, buckskin shirt and shell necklaces.
