Sitting Pretty

It's been a while since I last produced anything with an equestrian theme. 'Sitting Pretty' is an original coloured pencil drawing on Strathmore series 400 paper. It depicts a girl wearing a red polka dot dress, riding a chestnut pony. Many, many hours have gone into this piece, building up layer upon layer in order to produce the rich depth of colour and level of detail associated with coloured pencil works. I've purposefully left the background loose and with a speckled texture in order to help keep the focus of attention on the main subject. The crop makes for an eye catching composition, worthy of gracing the wall of any horse lover or riding enthusiast's home.

 

Measuring approximately 13.5 inches square, this drawing is presented in a white mount within a complimentary yew wood frame with a gold sight edge, to a total size of about  23.25 x 23.5 inches, ready to hang.
