A glorious Suffolk sunset is the backdrop to a tumble down fishing shack and boat which have seen better days. Scenes like this can be found in quiet estuaries all along the Suffolk coast, where the fishing industry has been in decline for many years. So the title of this painting can be interpreted in more ways than one.

Painted with watercolour onto archival watercolour canvas with a hardboard core. The very fine canvas texture gives an entirely different effect to standard watercolour on paper, almost like an oil painting but retaining the lightness and translucence associated with watercolour. This painting has been sealed, mounted in white then framed behind glass using a flat natural ash moulding. It can be supplied unframed if preferred.
