A set of two cutting boards, hand made from beautiful solid oak which is as hard as iron. They are made from brand new off-cuts of high quality oak that had been used for a previous project, therefore no risk of contamination from upcycled wood.
I have shaped and smoothed the boards by hand, attaining a very tactile, silky surface before finishing with highest grade, food safe mineral oil which is clear, odourless and tasteless. This brings out the lovely oak grain perfectly.
These boards are double sided, so you could preserve one side for meat and the other for vegetables for example. They are ideal as chopping boards but equally suitable for cheese boards, serving boards or simply for display, or how about using one for slicing your lemon or lime to mix your gin and tonic. I see these as a beautiful accessory to any kitchen, or could be used behind a bar or restaurant counter.
